RBT 40-Hour Initial Training

A complete, self-paced course to get new technicians ready for RBT certification, with a certificate of completion once every training requirement is verified.

How it runs

  1. Narrated lessons on your phone, tablet or computer. Pick up where you left off.
  2. Knowledge checks run through every lesson, with feedback on each answer.
  3. When every training requirement is verified, you receive your certificate of completion.

Is the RBT 40-hour training connected to the BACB?

This training program is designed to meet the 2026 training eligibility requirement for RBT certification. The training is offered independent of the BACB.

Certification requirements are set by the BACB, so check their site for the current rules before you apply.

How long do I have to finish?

Courses are self-paced. Your progress is saved, so you can stop and pick up where you left off on any device.

What do I get when I finish?

When every requirement is complete, you receive your certificate or completion record. For the RBT 40-hour, that is a certificate of completion once every training requirement is verified.

Can I get training for my whole team?
